How the Astreïa universal screw works
This is a universal automatic transfer screw system that can be used to feed grain continuously to different types of machine: mill, grain brush, husker or any other machine with a suitable height. Thanks to the dual outlet, you can feed 2 machines simultaneously.
The universal transfer auger’s emptying function lets you empty the auger completely and easily when changing the type of grain, for example.
The auger is available in 2 operating modes:
- Basic version: the auger operates in the conventional way with an on/off button.
- Automatic version: sensors placed in the hopper and on the outlet tube enable the auger to operate 100% automatically and autonomously.
Each of the options (basic or automatic) of our compact transfer screw is available in a short (190cm) or long (290cm) version.
The Astreïa universal transfer screw can be used to transfer solid materials under the following conditions:
- maximum dimension of 10mm (in all directions)
- maximum temperature of 40°C
- humidity less than 16
Electrical adaptation – 220V screw connection
This option offered by Astréïa allows you to ensure the continuous electrical operation of your mill to industrial standards and to provide after-sales service for your equipment.

Throughput and output
Throughput in excess of 2700kg/h (soft milling wheat) or 3.5m3/h (soft milling wheat), i.e. around 17 minutes to transfer grain from a 1m3 big-bag.

Capacitive sensors to control the high and low levels of the downstream hopper to be filled and to control the level of the upstream grain stock.
