Every customer has specific requirements and needs. Our trials allow you to see how our Astrié mills can be adjusted to meet your exact requirements. It’s also an opportunity to see for yourself the quality of the flour produced by our stone mills from your grains, and to take home a sample to test or have tested Astreïa flour in the making of bread, pasta, cakes, etc.
The tests are not exclusive to the mills. They also allow you to test the ease of use of our other Astreïa machines such as the grain brush or the huller directly with your cereal production or that of your supplier. And if you don’t have any grain available to carry out your tests, the trials can be carried out with ours.
These trials are designed to reflect everyday conditions of use and to enable you to measure the efficiency and robustness of our machines in real-life situations. They are also an opportunity for you to meet our colleagues for the first time, to start building a relationship of trust and exchange for our future collaboration. Would you like to use Astreïa flour to make pasta?
To make your own pasta, we suggest you carry out a number of milling tests on our Astreïa mills and test the processing directly at our partner Italgi, located in the Rhône not far from our Péronnas workshop. So you can be sure of the quality of the flour from our mills for your pasta recipes.
Italgi manufactures its own professional pasta machines, helping you to choose the machines best suited to your project, and their teams will train you in their use.

How are the tests and sampling carried out?
- Initial consultation: Contact our team to discuss your needs and expectations. Together, we’ll assess which machines are best suited to your business and your current challenges.
- Test planning: We’ll organise a test session at a time to suit you at one of our sites.
- Test session: Our team will show you how the mills work and help you with your first tests. You can grind your own grain and leave with samples of flour or prepared grain (brushed, hulled).
- Feedback: After the tests, we analyse the results together and discuss the potential adjustments needed to achieve the desired end product.
Are you unable to visit us? Do you simply want to check the quality of the grain or milling? Simply send us your grains. Our team will carry out the tests for you and send you the samples. We promise to provide you with all the information you need to make your decision.
Transport costs are at your expense. The cost of returning the flour must be paid before dispatch.
